The oral intake of bioactive peptides obtained from collagen stimulates chondrocytes to synthesize new collagen together with other components of the extracellular matrix of the cartilaginous tissue. In vivo studies indicate that the intake of bioactive peptides obtained from the enzymatic hydrolysis of porcine collagen stimulates the regeneration and reduces the signs of aging, generating a significant increase in the concentration of fibroblasts and the diameter and density of the collagen fibers of the skin. Its benefits in combating photoaging, UV-B radiation, preventing wrinkles and increasing skin tone have also been demonstrated.
Clinical studies show that the intake of continuous collagen improves the properties of the skin, increasing the degree of hydration, elasticity, brightness and density with a significant reduction in the number and size of wrinkles.
Composed of bioactive peptides obtained from the enzymatic hydrolysis of highly compatible porcine collagen contributes to the nourishment and regeneration of subcutaneous tissue, helping to reduce preventing and slowing the deterioration of the skin and the phenomena of skin aging.
