Oloproteic Diet assists patients around the world every day, providing nutritional advice and counselling, via the virtual platform.
Prof. Giuseppe Castaldo and his team of nutritionists will take care of the patient, follow his progress with accuracy, attention and precision both during the consultation and throughout the nutritional therapy.
Once the patient has purchased their first consultation, they will fill in an anamnesis form and a nutritional assessment form on the platform. In the form available in the patient’s account, by completing the mandatory questionnaire and providing the appropriate answer to each question, the patient will fill in information related to the family medical history, nutritional and lifestyle history, and dietary history.
At the end of the form, he will have to report all his previous pathologies by carefully filling the pathological history, so that Prof. Castaldo and the nutritionist in charge can develop a nutritional therapy able to address the various existing pathologies.
At the same time, the patient will rigorously complete the nutritional assessment form, recording all the nutritional parameters as indicated by the platform.
It is also important that the patient attaches a series of medical tests.
These are blood tests, electrocardiogram, abdominal ultrasound and, if possible, reports of specialist visits related to the pathologies mentioned in the anamnesis. You will also submit a complete and documented list of any medications or supplements taken at the time of the visit.
Finally, once the Consent and Authorisation for data processing has been completed, you will send the form to the responsible nutritionist and Prof. Castaldo.
Prof. Castaldo, together with the nutritionist in charge, will examine the anamnestic data reported by the patient, evaluate the attached diagnostic sheets and create a personalized nutritional plan, prescribing the diet, together with the necessary supplements to implement the nutritional program, aimed at restoring the patient’s health.
The dietary plan will be sent to the patient as soon as possible after the submission of the fully completed form.
Prof. Castaldo will determine the duration of the prescribed dietary phase.
Please note that this feature will be deactivated at the end of the first stage of the program if the follow-up visit is not purchased.
For a more accurate nutritional diagnosis, it is always recommended that all patients attach blood tests, electrocardiogram and abdominal ultrasound performed recently and, in any case, not older than one year, if the current state of health is good, while in the case of important pathologies it is advisable to have the tests done when purchasing the first consultation.
Priority laboratory tests for our nutrition programme are divided into:

Usual tests that all patients must attach:
urinalysis, blood glucose, insulin, BUN, creatinine, GOT transaminase, GPT transaminase, GT gamma, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, CBC, vitamin D.

Additional important tests for patients with cardiovascular, renal or metabolic diseases:
eGFR, ricemia, C-peptide, glycated hemoglobin (only in case of diabetes), albuminemia, homocysteinemia, sodium, potassium, calcemia, TSH, FT3, FT4, INR and any other tests that have been requested by the attending physician to study the in-depth diagnosis of the patient’s pathologies.
A patient in apparently good health who attaches older analyses or does not attach them at all will have to declare on his own responsibility in the file that his analyses have always been normal in order to receive the nutritional programme.
The electrocardiogram must be attached by all patients. The patient with cardiovascular pathologies must still attach the cardiological consultation and possibly other tests revealing the cardiovascular diagnosis carried out, such as: echocardiogram, stress test, dynamic holter, blood pressure holter, ultrasound Doppler TSA, etc., if these tests show altered values.
A patient in apparently good health who attaches an old EKG or does not attach it at all, will still have to declare on their own responsibility in the chart that their cardiovascular tests have always been normal in order to receive the nutritional programme.
Abdominal ultrasound is another medical investigation that all patients should attach. This test should be included in the case of patients suffering from medium-severe steatosis, gallstones or kidney stones.
A patient in apparently good health who attaches the result of an older ultrasound scan of the abdomen or does not attach it at all, will still have to declare on his own responsibility in the chart that the abdominal tests have always been normal in order to receive the nutritional programme.
THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF NUTRITIONAL CONSULTATIONS THAT CAN BE PURCHASED ON THE PLATFORM:
A) FIRST VISIT
This is the type of consultation chosen by the patient who is consulted for the first time by Prof. Univ. Castaldo and his team of nutritionists. The patient fills out the first visit form and receives the diet along with supplement therapy.
The duration of the diet is also determined, which is generally 45 days.
This consultation costs 490 lei. (approx. 100 euro to be defined with the official exchange rate when purchasing the visit)
B) CONTROL VISIT
The patient completes the check-up sheet and updates his/her medical record with current nutritional and symptomatological parameters. He will also attach new tests that may be requested by the nutritionist. In general, the duration of these stages is 30 days or multiples of 30 days.
This consultation costs 390 lei. (approx. 80 euro to be defined with the official exchange rate when purchasing the visit)
C) VERIFICATION VISIT
For patients undergoing nutritional therapy previously consulted with the old platform and whose last check-up took place no later than 6 months: these patients will fill in a form similar to the one of the first visit, which they will fill in with updated data and in a special space they will specify the following nutritional and symptomatological history from the first visit to the current situation, answering precisely the different questions included in the form. In general, the duration of this stage is 30 days or a multiple of 30 days.
